ASTROS FAIL TO RALLY: LOSE GAME #3 IN BOTTOM OF THE 14TH

With two out and runners at 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the 14th, owing to a White Sox fielding error, the Astros had yet another chance at redemption, but Everett hit a weak pop fly to end the inning, the game, and pretty much the Houston Astros' hopes of a World Series Championship for the Bayou City.

The Astros' bats were colder than the weather and the beer in the late innings of this record-setting endurance contest and you can't go anemic with so much on the line and with your loyal fans fending off yawns and frustration and the chill night air.

The pitching -- their trademark -- just hasn't been there for the Astros in the Series and nor has much-needed clutch hitting.
