49-23: IRISH OVER BYU ON RECORD-SETTING DAY

Not sure which was more impressive this afternoon, Notre Dame's Brady Quinn's record-setting six (6) touchdown passes on 467 yards (with a record four TD passes caught by Maurice Stovall), or the number of flags the zebras tossed throughout the game, damn near ruining the enjoyment of an otherwise big day for The Fighting Irish and their fans in South Bend. I just hate it when the rhythm of a football game is incessantly disrupted by an over-zealous officiating crew.

Nonetheless, ND comes off its waning seconds' loss to #1 USC last week with a triumph to go 5-2; and now Charlie Weis' men have two weeks to prepare for a trip to Tennessee.

There were nine (9) all-time Notre Dame records set in this game. The Age of Weis is already in full bloom.

We're back !!! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Irish !!!
