John Hinderaker of "Powerline" points to a "curtain of silence" that has descended over the activities and antics of Cindy Sheehan since her summer-long "vigil" outside of President Bush's Crawford, Texas, ranch ended. Indeed, the mainstream media has moved on to greener pastures and its infatuation with Ms. Sheehan has gone quietly into the night.

Hinderaker appropriately assails the American press, which mindlessly doted over the empty-headed war protestor, for accepting "no accountability for misleading the American people" and showing no inclination whatsoever of "correcting the fictitious record that it, alone, created." But John doesn't stop there, as he pulls back that curtain long enough to provide some glimpses into Cindy's newest allies and it's not a pretty picture.

Cindy Sheehan has staunchly aligned herself with the enemies of her country, even with those who murdered her own son ("freedom fighters," as she calls them, or "Minutemen" as her patron Michael Moore says). She has gone even beyond that perverse outrage: she has sought out and lent support to the very most extreme, twisted, hateful remnants of the Communist movement, and the last survivors of the Black Panthers. Cindy Sheehan is a hater: nothing more, nothing less.

Do read the entire post. Do appreciate what this woman has done and continues to do to dishonor her son's memory and his service to his country. Do understand that the Democratic Party annointed her a party spokesperson and its reigning left wing extremists embraced her with a fervency that spoke volumes about their poisoned agenda. Her husband distanced himself from her; her family made it clear that they eschewed her viewpoints and avowed aims; and the vast majority of Americans have come to understand why a liberal mainstream media attached themselves to her anti-Bush cabal.
