The Associated Press (AP) reports in an article by reporter Jesse J. Holland that NARAL Pro-Choice America has pulled its short-lived television attack ad castigating U.S. Supreme Court nominee John Roberts.

Conservatives had waged a withering battle to have the salacious advertisement withdrawn by this extremist abortion rights' group that has been spewing anti-Roberts propaganda. NARAL claims the ad's content was "misconstrued," but as Holland's article points out, even the Pro-Choice Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA) labeled the controversial ad "blatantly untrue and unfair."

Nonetheless, "ProLifeBlogs" reports that NARAL's leadership remains adamantly unapologetic for having smeared nominee Roberts as a supporter of "violent fringe groups and a convicted clinic bomber." The organization is reported to be gearing up to run alternative television advertisements claiming that Roberts is an advocate for overturning Roe v. Wade.

On that account, I hope NARAL has it right, as I want Roe v. Wade overturned and the killing of millions of preborns stopped.
