SUICIDE IS MORALLY UNACCEPTABLE; KILLING AN UNBORN HUMAN ISN'T?

The latest Gallup Survey (conducted May 2nd - May 5th) drives the headline of this post -- namely, that Americans overwhelmingly disapprove (82%) of suicide, but barely evince a majority view (51%) that abortion is morally repugnant. And 60% of those polled were okay with embryonic stem cell research -- the use of human embryos for scientific experimentation.

Dr. George Tiller meet Dr. Frankenstein.

Sadly ironic, is it not, that only 1 in 5 Americans, according to the survey, rate America's current moral climate as "excellent" or "good," and 3 in 4 Americans believe moral values will get worse; yet, the 1,005 adult Americans who took the survey (from which statistical results were extrapolated) answered in the manner they did to drive the results for abortion and embryonic stem cell research?

I'm not surprised; but I'm dismayed.
