THE "GRAY LADY" ANNOUNCES A MAJOR OVERHAUL FOLLOWING A PROLONGED, BLOGGER-INDUCED EPIPHANY

You can't do better than to read "Iowahawk" and "Ace of Spades" on the New York Times' announcement that for its penance for egregious acts done to advance the cause of the liberal-biased mainstream media, of which it is both titular leader and fountainhead, it will work diligently and in a variety of ways to restore its readers trust level (which should mean endeavoring to separate editorial content from pure reporting).

Sure it will. Best layed plans of mice and men.

The powers that be at "NYT" have already started out on the wrong foot by talking about "preserving their readers' trust," rather than restoring it.

Maybe the best thing they could do for their tarnished credibility would be to trade away Frank Rich and Maureen Dowd for five future draft choices from the "Washington Times" or "National Review."

I think the center-right bloggers have a legitimate claim on this belated epiphany.
