MS-13 GANG MEMBERS: A PRODUCT OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND POROUS BORDERS

I, for one, am not particularly heartened over this article heralding police efforts to arrest members of the notorious MS-13 street gang. The simple answer is I do not know if in the final analysis many of these offenders will actually be deported. But the broader explanation of my pessimism is that this article reveals just one of many sobering outgrowths of this country's porous borders and lackluster border security. If street gangs don't terrorize people, tell me what they do?

Of course they terrorize, but the civil libertarians and apologists for illegal immigration try to mask the lawlessness that is illegal immigration, both as an antecedent and in its devastating effects. The careworn notion that illegal immigration is simply the result of the impoverished trying to find economic opportunity is a terrible ruse pepetrated on this nation. Indeed, that argument camouflages deadly crime, and the sinister trade in drugs and human cargo that is illegal immigration.

Americans are fed up. Polipundit, for one, concurs!
