UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT, MIDDLE DISTRICT OF FLORIDA, INVOLVED PRESENTLY

Fox Channel News has just reported that the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida, is presently engaged in a hearing (may be a conference call) on the Terri Schiavo legal controversy. The report did not provide particulars. One might presume this may have to do with the Congressional subpoenas that have been served and whether Circuit Court Judge George Greer's order that Terri Schiavo's feeding tube be permanently removed at 1:00pm EST today (a matter of 15 minutes or so from now) has been rendered academic and must be put in abeyance.

UPDATE: Terri's feeding tube will NOT be removed. A Federal Judge has so ordered on the basis, according to Fox Channel news, of a "legal technicality." There was no amplification. The report indicated that the presiding judge in the case -- Judge George Greer -- cannot be located. This information was just televised at 12:52pm EST.
