A PICTURE WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

Here's a poignant photograph that will touch your hearts (originally posted by BlackFive and linked to at Cheese and Crackers, where I first found it while visiting that young man's terrific Blog).

After viewing the photograph and if you have the time to enjoy it, please link to "Duty, Honor, Country" in my "Links and Blogroll," which you'll find under the sub-heading, "Gravitas." You'll hear an audio file of General Douglas MacArthur's famous address to the cadets of West Point. It's stirring and calls to mind the patriotism shown, the sacrifices made, and the strength of character epitomized by members of our country's armed forcess -- young, old and in the grave.
