THE BRITS CAN GASP ALL THEY WANT, BUT AS FOR ME ...

Hillary Rodham Clinton has not (as I posted yesterday) pulled the wool over this conservative's eyes, as I don't see her change of heart on the abortion issue as anything more than a calculated attempt to convince voters, including Republicans she'll need to cross-over, that she's more a centrist-moderate, than a left-of-Left Democrat. She may be changing her stripes at this stage of her life in early prepapration for the 2008 contest, but she's still a zebra, plain and simple. And she still laps water from the left side of the political watering hole and she still remains the same woman who tried to convince this nation's rugged individualists that it takes a village.

Having said that, from my point of view the Brits can gasp all they want. If Hillary lacks genuineness, so be it. Fact is, if she can move a portion of her national (yes, national) constituency, as well as some of her Pro-Choice colleagues in the Democratic Party, over to the Pro-Life side of the battle, I'll be pleased as punch. The lives of innocents are at stake, so I'm resolutely in favor of her newfound morality, whether its a political ruse (as I suspect) or not.
