ACCOUNTABILITY FOR AN OUTRAGE

The New York Post editorializes in today's edition that while Democrats have purposefully looked the other way in hopes that the Sandygate -- SoxDocs -- scandal will fly in under the radar screen of an asleep-at-the-wheel national press, that accountability for this surreptitious whisking away of top classified documents from the national archives by a former national security adviser to President Clinton should be insisted upon. And the Post is dead on correct that had Condoleezza Rice been found with classified documents stuffed into her undergarments the Democrats' guns would have been drawn. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA), for one, would be salivating. Howard Dean's hysteria would climb a higher octave. The senior Senator from Massuchuetts would be thundering in righteous indignation. But, fact is, there's been no hue and cry from the MSM. Indeed, the silence is deafening out there. Betsy Newmark at Betsy's Page makes much the same observation, as does Lakepundit, albeit a bit more stridently. Let's keep on top of this in the blogosphere!
